PHP/MySqli Introduction

The MySqli is the improved version of MySql version 4.1, hence MySqli support PHP/MySql version 4.1 and later versions. In other words the PHP/MySql extension is called MySqli.
The goals of the MySqli are-
1. Easy to maintain.
2. Better compatibility.
3. Backward Compatibility.
The features of MySqli-
1. Procedural interface.
2. Object oriented interface.
3. Support New MySql binary protocol.
4. Support for full feature set of MySQL C client Library.
And MySqli have many more features.
